Dear Fr. Pepps,

Thank you for sending information regarding the Parishes in Peril Grant Request. I have reviewed it with interest. You have done a good deal of thinking about this and it appears well-conceived and something of great value for the Orthodox Church - helping us think of our churches and brothers and sisters as one people. The first Apostles once did the same - the Apostle Paul inviting the Greeks to open their hearts to the poor Jerusalem churches in travail...You are following in that tradition! I find my heart responding to your intentions with gladness...

The information you gather...can prove a treasure trove of feedback for both Seminary Administration as well as for the Hierarchs…You can mark me down as one of the supporters.

...What God is building we joyfully take part in.

"Let us love one another so that with one mind we may profess the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Trinity one in essence and undivided." When we pray this in the Liturgy, we should be praying ...not only for each other in the particular temple, but for all our brothers and sisters in Christ... What better way can we do this than to be united in one jurisdiction while still maintaining our diversity, just as the Trinity is united in one Godhead but still maintains the individual Persons."

"It was an exhilarating experience to [see] the mission you have so boldly embarked upon... We are particularly impressed with the coordination part of the ministry which will ... save a lot of money and avoid duplication ... You have already taken victory on your side and if God is for you what can be against you! God bless all your endeavors ..."

avatar“Congratulations for the excellent DVD. May God bless you with favor, Fr. Angelo in your work to raise resources for capable and talented clergy wanting to offer more full time missionary work instead of being relegated to inappropriate jobs they must some times, work to provide for their families all because of lamentable church politics and a very disparate remuneration system.”

Dear Fr. Evangelos,

As Christ desires everyone to come to a knowledge of the truth, with [my brother] Thomas, I pray you have health for many years to develop and succeed in the Missionary Priest fund for N. America.

Someone needs to assist gifted married clergy who are not compensated 2% of what others (in cases, celibate) are fortunate to make. Happy for the latter, something has to be done if we truly believe in fairness and love."
