St. Elizabeth the New Martyr Orthodox Mission – Cullman, AL
St. Elizabeth the New Martyr is a ROCOR mission located in the historic town of Cullman, Alabama. It was started in 2023 by laymen with the blessing of Metropolitan Nicholas and received its first priest, Fr. Theodore Foley, in the Summer of 2024. Since the mission began regular Sunday Liturgies, it has seen steady growth, with catechumens from Protestant backgrounds historically making up most of the congregation. Today the mission has around 30 members who continue to faithfully meet to worship every Saturday, Sunday, and for the Great Feast Days.
