Urgent Appeal for Hendersonville, NC Mission and Share the Faith Recipient Priest, Fr. Photios Parks.
Fr Photios Parks of St. Antony the Great Orthodox Mission of the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church in Hendersonville, NC requests an urgent appeal for his mission outreach. After speaking with Fr. Photios on the phone he mentioned that the situation in his area is dire.
There is no internet in his area, so they are very isolated. FEMA has been unresponsive to the surrounding community, and they have not been able to obtain much help in reaching out to their community and beyond. Many of his parishioners have lost their homes and family. St Anthony has opened their parish to the greater community in helping them with shelter and meals and will need to do so for the foreseeable future.
